Hello, my name is Jeanette (Jette) Brownlee. I am 18 years old and have been a member of Job’s Daughter’s for 8 years. I live in Casper Wyoming and am a member of Bethel number 28, wow a lot of 8’s in there. I am also a Past Honored Queen of Bethel number 40.
I have lived in Casper Wyoming my whole life. I live
with my mom and dad. My mom works at WCDA, and my dad is a vice president at
Hilltop National Bank. I have one brother who is 21 years old. He is married and
they are accepting a kid in September. I have two dogs, Wrangler who is 14
years old. He is a yellow lab, golden retriever mix. I also have a Jack Russell
Terrier. Her name is Angel and she is my baby. I’m an active member
of the First United Methodist Church. There I attend youth group. I sing in the
choir and play hand bells. I lettered in Band and swimming and diving
while in high school. I have been a member of band since 4th grade. I
play the saxophone, clarinet, guitar, piano, and drums. I had plans to
attend Casper College on a full ride scholarship in music. They have agreed to
hold my scholarships while I embark on this great adventure!
My Jobie career started off in May of 1998. I got a call for Georgia Smith, asking me if I would like to attend a sleep over, and being 11 years old, who could pass up a sleep over? I went to this huge building that I was later explained to me as the Masonic Temple. I was in awe with all these girls practicing parts, playing games, laughing, eating, and signing. I came home the next day and told my mom I wanted to join. She really had no objections, seeing how she worked with the wonderful Kathy Winders. I have held the offices of choir, 3rd messenger, 1st messenger, Marshall, guide (twice), Junior Princess (twice) Senior Princess, and Honored Queen (three times). Our bethel slowly started to dwindle, and we were put under re organization for two years. By the time my third year was up, and Chelsea was Honored Queen we had three girls including myself. I was doing Junior Princess, Recorder, Guide, and Chaplain, all in one meeting. I wasn’t having fun any more. And I told my mom I was going to quit or join bethel 28. The other two girls agreed and we merged with bethel 28. We are now in a bigger bethel having fun and enjoying ourselves. In bethel 28 I have held the offices of Librarian, musician, 3rd messenger, chaplain, and currently 4th messenger and proem recorder.
I have been to Supreme 4 times. Each year I have been on the Wyoming Supreme Team and have taken first place twice. This year being one of them. I attend Grand Bethel every year. I tried out for Miss Wyoming this year and got the oral ritual award. I put my name in for Grand Bethel Senior Princess for 4 years and didn’t receive that. And as I sit here writing this, my motto for the year “everything happens for a reason” becomes more and more true. If I would have been blessed with either of those two honors I would not be here today. Although I was sad that I dint’ win or get drawn for a job that everyone told me I would do a great job, I would have not put my name in for Supreme Bethel Honored Queen.
I remember the night before the meeting I was sitting there in my hotel room listening to my ipod and I thought, and I came to the conclusion that if I didn’t get it, I still had a life, a scholarship for college, my family, and friends at home. But if I did get it I would be the happiest girl alive. I knew the chance of my state and name being drawn were slim to none. And the next day when I was sitting with my mom I looked at her and told her my exact thoughts, either way she told me, she would love me and be proud. “Drawing of new officers”. I put my head in my mom’s lap. “Supreme Bethel Honored Queen… from…WYOMING!” I sat up and looked at my mom… “I think I’m the only one who but my name in”. Everyone was looking around and I sat there “Jette this is you” my mom told me. Erin Wiesshaarr standing on the stage… “O my God Jette Brownlee” I screamed, cried, and had no idea what had happened, I laid back in my mom’s lap, tears pouring from her eyes. That’s all I remember I don’t’ know if there was screaming from others or what… “Jette I need a yes or no” I couldn’t stand at first I then stood and said yes. I was the new Supreme Bethel Honored Queen. I stood at the table to greet my new officers. Still o so excited about what happened. Doing what Dad Hoglund now calls the Jette dance.
This doesn’t happen to me, as my past record in my State has proven. The fact this opportunity was given to me is something I will take full advantage of! I’m hoping to travel much and often. The Wyoming delegation has their hands full and I know will support me 100%. I can’t wait for this year with Brittney, Mom Coley, and Dad Holgund.
Jobie love and T.Y. hugs
Jette Brownlee
Supreme Bethel Honored Queen 2007-2008

During my eighteen years in this world, I have experienced a great deal. I enjoy the typical activities of teenage years, such as being with friends and spending time with family. However, I am not your average teen. My involvement in Job’s Daughters, extra-curricular activities, service outreach, and travels set me apart from the crowd. Throughout my life, I have set high standards for myself and have continually strived to reach those standards. I consider myself to be a compassionate, generous person, who looks for the best in others and attempts to bring that out.
This quality has in large part been developed through the constant support of my family. My parents, Bob and Sue Utley, have instilled within me a strong moral fiber and a loving nature. My sister, Renee, and brother-in-law, Justin, have blessed our family with three wonderful children, Austin (12), Trenton (5), and Ellana (1). The presence of my niece and nephews has enriched our lives. They have inspired my love for children. Thanks to them, I wish to devote my life to the service of youth.
My desire is to become a pediatric physical therapist, upon the completion of the graduate physical therapy program. I yearn to reach out to disabled or injured children using my experiences from my niece and nephew, as well as those gained through my current employment. I work at Hands On Physical Therapy as a physical therapy technician. I perform soft tissue mobilizations, ultrasounds, and electrical stimulations. I also work at All About Kids as a birthday party leader. This is how I incorporate my love of children into my work life.
In addition
to challenging academic schedules, I have been actively involved in clubs
and extracurricular activities. These include: National Honor Society: 10,
11, 12; Spanish Honor Society: 12; Team Mercy: 10, 11, 12; Project Life: 10,
11, 12, President of Project Life: 12; Students High on Life: 9, 10, 11, 12,
Secretary of SHOL: 10, Vice President of SHOL: 11, President of SHOL: 12;
Member of Liturgy Planning Committee: 11, 12; Eucharistic Minister: 12; Peer
Leader: 11, 12; Venture Club: 10, 11, 12; Service Outreach: 11, 12; Freshmen
Volleyball Team: 9; Sophomore Homeroom Representative: 10; Foreign Language
Club: 11.
I have been extremely active in my community through volunteer work and
activities. My school has actively encouraged its students to participate in
volunteer work, and the work is incorporated into our curriculum.
A summer trip to Costa Rica has highlighted my service experience. I traveled to Punta Judas for an eight-day turtle conservation trip on the beach. During that time, I helped to clear debris along the beach and prepared the hatchery for baby sea turtles. I also assisted in the clean up of a local school. I learned a great deal from this trip, such as ethnic diversity, diligent manual labor, and survival away from home.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, I have performed service within my local community through church involvement (ie. Church cleaning, Children’s Church leader, etc.), Job’s Daughters outreach, and school activities.
Since initiation, I have been an active member of Bethel 24, Jeffersonville, IN, and of the state through regular attendance at bethel meetings, participation in fundraisers (i.e. candle sales, Avon sales, car washes, Harvest Homecoming, etc.), and assistance to other daughters with ritual memorization, term planning, and fun activity ideas. I am a Past Honored Queen and have held many other stations since then. I have also visited other bethels and filled in offices as needed. I have attended the Supreme Session in Chicago and Supreme Session in Merrillville, IN and every Indiana Grand Session for the past ten years, except for one. I served the state as Junior Miss Indiana from 2004-2005, during which I organized two statewide service activities. In April 2007, I was selected as the 2007-2008 Miss Indiana Job’s Daughter. I have organized a “service hours contest” to encourage a greater spirit of volunteerism within the state. I am a member of Grand Bethel and have held various positions, such as Grand Bethel Chaplain, Grand Bethel Representative to many states, and Grand Bethel Region 6 Chairman. Currently, I am Guide of my Bethel.
I have chosen to postpone college for one year in order to fully devote myself to traveling and representing Job's Daughters. I am very much looking forward to seeing all of the different jurisdictions and learning what sets Job's Daughters apart all over the world. I hope to meet as many Daughters and adults as possible over the coming year. My emblems are stars and sunflowers. I absolutely love both! This will be a wonderful year!
Job's Love,
Brittney Utley

Rick Holloway
Idaho has been Rick's home since 1966, after his family moved
there from the San Francisco Bay area. What a change! Moving from town to a farm
was a big shock, even for a 7 year old, but Rick says that it was the best thing
to happen to him. He lived on a farm all through school, graduating from
Middleton High School in Middleton, Idaho in 1977. After attending college for
one semester, He realized his heart wasn’t in it so he returned to work on a
farm outside of Middleton for a year.
In 1980, Rick started working at a quarter horse ranch, and worked with race
horses for the next six years. It was in 1985 when he realized there wasn’t much
of a future in race horses, so he returned to college and completed a Bachelor’s
Degree in Health Care Administration from Idaho State University. He immediately
went to the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Master of Hospital
Administration degree in 1990.
Rick immediately began working in long term care management, and worked for a
few employers before returning to the family health care management business and
taking over operations in 1998. He bought his first nursing home and assisted
living facility in 1999, and just finished buying a third ownership in another
skilled nursing facility. His family manages and consults for approximately 20
rural hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities in Idaho and
surrounding states.
Rick has always been very physically active. Football, basketball, baseball, and
track filled his days in high school, and he played rugby while attending
college in Pocatello. In 1993, he started taking Taekwon-Do classes, and
continues to do so. He is now a fourth degree black belt instructor in Taekwon-Do,
and has taught several students up to and including second degree black belt.
Rick's children are the light of my life. His daughter is a Past Honored Queen
of Bethel 8 in Caldwell, Idaho, and participates on the volleyball team at her
high school. His son is 14 years old, and is active in football and basketball.
Rick is able to attend nearly all of their games because he sets his own work
schedule.
Rick's Job’s Daughters life began originally when his sister was involved in
Bethel #8 in the 1970’s. He became a Master Mason in 1993, served as Worshipful
Master of two different Lodges, and served as Associate Bethel Guardian of
Bethel #8 beginning in 1999. He was elected into the Grand line for Idaho a few
years ago, and finished my year as Associate Grand Guardian this past summer.
Rick is an outstanding cook. He has made many Mexican, Italian, and
Oriental dishes for my family and the Bethels in Idaho, but is probably most
famous for his chocolate chip cookies. In addition to his other interests, he
spends many evenings studying Portuguese in preparation for visits to Brazil.
Rick states that it is a pleasure to work with the rest of the people in the
Supreme line, and he looks forward to helping promote this beautiful Order!
